Technical support engineer

The Opportunity: Ford Stanley Recruitment are working with a renowned manufacturer serving the rail and rolling stock industry, providing parts and products into a safety critical industry. The position is supplier focussed and requires attention to detail, an ability to communicate problems with suppliers to achieve a ldquo;Win Win rdquo; outcome and a dynamic approach to solving engineering problems. The position is likely to suit someone coming off the tools in a safety critical environment or someone who is already in a technical support position. Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Role and Responsibilities: Offer technical engineering support, advice and expertise to design and procurement teams. Assistant in the management of product-based warranty issues. Attend regular supplier facing and technical meetings. Assistant in the design and development of brand new products. Develop and maintain key relationships with key stakeholders on an internal and external basis. Essentials: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background Previous experience of offering technical engineering support. UK Driving Licence Strong Interpersonal skills ndash; able to communicate with key internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions. Desirable: HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Previous experience within the rail industry. Closing Date: Friday 24th May 2024.
