Interim health and safety manager

Interim Health and Safety Manager (6-month contract) Colchester | Circa GBP300/day + travel expenses Irwin Colton has been engaged on an exciting new opportunity with a very well-established and unique charity who are looking to bring onboard a new Health and Safety Manager on a 6-month contract basis. This role will be supporting the Head of Health and Safety and will be responsible for a number of key projects across their portfolio of properties. Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will be: Conducting site audits and risk assessments on a range of unique facilities across the business Assess fire risk across the facilities and make suggestions on improvements where necessary Acting as key point of contact to provide safety advise to all professionals within the organisation and taking corrective actions when necessary to mitigate risks Working with a range of stakeholders across the organisation to improve safety cultureKey skills and qualifications that the Health and Safety Manager will have: NEBOSH certificate as a minimum/equivalent qualification and relevant membership of professional body (e.g., Tech IOSH) Relevant Health and Safety experience from facilities, property, construction, and comfortable working autonomously Willingness to travel to remote locations across the UK Any offshore experience would be beneficial (ports, lighthouses, marine, etc.)A great contract role for an experienced Health Safety professional to audit a diverse portfolio across the UK.
