Assistant commercial manager

Rail Assistant Commercial Manager Location: Birmingham Salary: GBP300 - GBP350 per day umbrella A High-Speed Rail business is seeking a dedicated Rail Assistant Commercial Manager to provide essential support in delivering commercial activities within the Delivery teams. This role involves working closely with the supply chain and contractors to assure and support commercial activities, ensuring they align with project objectives and deliver demonstrable value for money. Key Responsibilities: * Provide commercial support and decision-making across all contracts, ensuring alignment with strategic project objectives and value for money. * Negotiate Commercial Agreements with third parties, coordinating interfaces and integrating across contracts and suppliers. * Support contract management to maintain effective commercial control. * Assist in the administration of Project Manager obligations under NEC3 Contracts. * Support the valuation of variations and compensation events. * Assist in contract payments assessment. * Review and analyse supply chain monthly reports. Required Skills: * Ability to administer contracts for infrastructure or similar capital projects and programs. * Understanding of dispute resolution processes and procedures. * Familiarity with common commercial policies, processes, and procedures. * Knowledge of contract, commercial, and risk management methods, particularly experience with NEC Contracts.
