Commercial business development manager

Commercial Business Development Manager M ndash; F 8am ndash; 4pm GBP50,000 - GBP55,000 Birmingham What will you be doing? * Design and execute plans that enhance the company #39;s commercial position and growth potential in the markets it serves. * Create opportunities for business growth by developing and cultivating strong customer relationships. * Manage and support the new business sales team, including their 1-to-1 reviews and annual appraisals. * Collaborate with your network to source and coordinate tender RFQs * Manage business costs while maximizing the ROI of the company by negotiating with customers and suppliers. * Conduct market research on competitors and marketplaces on a regular basis to identify potential business opportunities. * Assist internal departments with questions regarding commercial processes and best practices for implementing commercial practices. * Manage commercial risks and come up with strategies to overcome them. * Participate in business conferences and events to aid in the company #39;s promotion. * Perform price reviews with customers and suppliers on an annual basis. * Some European travel specifically Germany and Holland What will you bring to the party? * Relevant Sales Marketing qualification / experience * Familiar with business development and marketing tactics * Strong financial awareness of profit and loss and the need to achieve strong supplier costings obtained via confident negotiation skills. * Strong leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically * Familiarity with project management delivery * Strong awareness and a working knowledge of CRM packages What Happens Next?
