This is an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as one of our ICA Apprentices. You will be learning about new and innovative technologies that will improve the way we work at Thames Water for years to come. What you will be doing as an Instrumentation Automation and Control Apprentice (ICA) Apprentice As an #x202F;Instrumentation automation and control (ICA) Apprentice #x202F;you rsquo;ll be helping to control all the instruments and systems we have on our sites. You rsquo;ll be working on the technology which monitors and controls all aspects of Thames Water rsquo;s water and wastewater processes, and how they rsquo;re performing across the network. During the apprenticeship you rsquo;ll become qualified to carry out the following activities: Planned preventative and general maintenance of equipment. Modifying and rewiring, #x202F;testing, #x202F;and inspecting. Condition-based monitoring and fault finding within our systems.You will also be fully trained to use Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to make modifications to our processes to ensure that our sites perform at their very best. #x202F; You will be working alongside an experienced technician for the duration of your programme. You will receive ongoing support from your dedicated mentor on-site, line manager and engagement partner who will guide you and help develop your experience to excel in your career at Thames Water. You will complete the Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard ndash; ICA Pathway. Included in the programme you will also complete the Level 3 City Guilds Diploma in Engineering. We work with Basingstoke College and you will be expected to attend the campus in Basingstoke on a fortnightly basis with the alternate week being virtual delivery, you may also be expected to attend college on block release, we will support your attendance by paying for your accommodation and travel expenses in line with our travel guidelines and business expense policy.
