Our client school, rated #39;Good #39; by Ofsted in Tower Hamlets, is seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join the SEN Team. The Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant for Year 3, your expertise in supporting children with Down syndrome, Autism, severe learning needs, and nonverbal communication challenges is vital. You #39;ll work closely with our teaching staff and SEN specialists to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that empowers every child to learn, grow, and succeed. Your Responsibilities: Specialist Support: Provide tailored support to students with Down syndrome, autism, severe learning needs, and nonverbal communication challenges. Adapt and develop resources and strategies to suit individual learning styles. Personal Development: Support the holistic development of students, focusing on not just their academic progress, but also their emotional well-being and social skills. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, parents, and external professionals to create a comprehensive network of support for our students. Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the progress and achievements of the students you work with, helping to identify areas for improvement and development. What We #39;re Looking For: To excel in this role, you should bring: Experience: Proven experience working with students with SEN: Down syndrome, autismor severe learning needs, in a school or similar setting. Empathy and Patience: A deep understanding of the challenges these students face and the patience and empathy to provide the support they need. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists. Adaptability: The ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and situations in the classroom.
