Accountant

A well-established accountancy practice is currently recruiting for an Accountant to join its team within a varied role looking after a portfolio of clients. This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a small, friendly team, taking care of a portfolio of clients rsquo; accounting requirements and providing valuable advice and answering queries. As Accountant your responsibilities will include: * Managing a key portfolio of clients, leading client meetings, advising clients, and providing rapid responses to client queries * Nurturing and developing relationships with new and existing clients * Attend events to enhance your business development * Preparation and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax, VAT and personal tax * Dealing with all company secretarial for clients * Setting up limited companies * Completing directors rsquo; only payroll We welcome applications form experienced accountants with the following: * ACA/ACCA - 1 year post-qualified; strong newly qualified / finalist candidates will be considered * Significant accounting experience gained within a practice environment * Sound judgement and initiative to find solutions and make decisions under pressure * Ability to self-manage and self-motivate * Work well with others and be able to offer team support * Good IT skills with experience of accounting software * Excellent written and verbal communication skills This is an opportunity that will give the successful candidate a good amount of autonomy and responsibility where you can further develop existing skills and gain valuable experience.
