Would Suit Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Engineer GBP35 - GBP40k Quality Change Engineer required for a permanent role close to Brighton Sussex The Quality Engineer is expected to function as a specialist with respect to a specific technical phase of the process improvement function Management of Change within our Assembly Shop Work assignments may be specialised in nature but may also be broad based with coordination between other staff personnel to complete a larger project. Prepares feasibility studies for appropriateness and quality effectiveness and submits recommendations accordingly. Results contribute to the effective management decisions in determining the most efficient processes, methods, machinery, tools, equipment, services and systems needed in the Quality Assurance of product. Actual work assignments may be typified as follows: - Developing, analysing and managing the quality for Manufacturing/ Assembly / Fabrication Projects. - Strong Project management experience able to demonstrate previous project where production has been significantly increased in volume - Leading Quality in Manufacturing Initiatives by analysing current techniques - Developing and implementing APQP PPAP for Manufacturing Improvements - Leading, developing and supporting timely Best Practices, Operation Excellence Process Validation Best Practices and Lean Operation Excellence and Quality Best Practices. - APQP/PPAP experience Desirable - Working with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage quality projects to ensure efficient and cost- effective systems and processes to produce quality products. Essential Skills Previous experience within Quality or Manufacturing Engineering to aid in ensuring quality Manufacturing Exercises of automotive systems, machinery assemblies, Strong Project management experience able to demonstrate previous project where quality has been ensured for mid life updates New Product Implementations (NPI) APQP/PPAP interpretation, recommendations delivery Demonstrable improvements on Quality Processes Process optimisation Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.
