You rsquo;ll need to be strong with MySQL, as you rsquo;ll be writing raw queries and interacting with databases. The majority of your work will be backend focused (APIs, third party integrations, payments, product admin pages etc) Key Responsibilities - Design, extend, and optimise APIs for seamless application development. - Innovate by developing new features and APIs using Laravel. - Refine and upgrade our bespoke PHP legacy codebase. - Craft and execute unit tests to maintain software quality. - Enhance platform performance to support growth in scale. - Facilitate integration with third-party services such as EPOS systems, payment gateways, and delivery providers. - Lead code reviews and maintain high standards in development. - Provide mentorship to emerging developers and contribute to their growth. - Strategize and implement complex software projects effectively. Requirements - Extensive experience as a PHP Developer (over 5 years) - Extensive experience with Laravel or Symfony frameworks. - Strong proficiency in MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. - Familiarity with GIT version control, unit testing, and TDD environments. - Ability to write and consume REST APIs effectively. - Excellent communication skills.
