Goods in operative

Axiom Personnel are currently looking for Goods In Operatives for our distinguished client based in Leyton. Role Function and Purpose * Be responsible checking in of all dirty linen returned from customers prior to wash. * To ensure that all Temp Hire/ Wash Return soiled work is sorted, counted and classified to agreed quality standards to meet the requirements of production schedules using the most cost-effective methods. Key Duties and Responsibilities: * To form an effective working relationship with all work colleagues and promote teamwork within the warehouse/returns environment. * Continually strive to assist in improving the Return process as a whole. * To be actively involved in and support change initiatives. * Be responsible for checking in all soiled linen returned from customers including: * Unloading of company vehicles in a safe and effective manner. * Checking off drivers runs to make sure they match the items being delivered into the check in area. * Sorting of colours, sizes and material types against relevant paperwork into designated cages for wash. * Scraping of wax damaged tablecloths prior to wash. This is a full time position Monday - Thursday, 7am to 5pm and Friday 7am to 3pm. Pay rate is GBP11.44 p/h We are looking for people with Goods in, warehouse or check in/ sorting experience.
