Sales and purchasing department manager shipping experience

Our well-established Manufacturing client based in Halifax, West Yorks. are looking to recruit a highly experienced Sales Purchasing Manager with extensive Shipping experience to coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently and securely, and oversee the sales and purchasing department. THE ROLE: * Supervise and lead IS P team, providing guidance and training as required. * Oversee and coordinate daily activities, including order processing and shipping to ensure timely and accurate execution. * Responsible for Sales Orders processing, ensuring accurate pricing and product details included. * Oversee shipping process, providing troubleshooting and problem-solving support to the team as required. * Resolve operational issues and customer complaints in a timely manner, demonstrating problem solving and decision-making skills. * Utilise data and analytics to generate reports and KPI rsquo;s to provide insight to senior managers. * Develop and maintain procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. * Identify areas for improvement to optimise efficiency and reduce costs. * Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the freight forwarding process. THE CANDIDATE: * Previous experience in a similar role, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Proven leadership abilities to motivate and develop a team. * Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and carriers. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs regulations. * Strong knowledge of freight and international trade regulations and customs requirements. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. Hours: 8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, option of 1 day per week Hybrid (home working) Consistent and regular office attendance is crucial for presence and team building/support purposes.
