Production planner

We rsquo;re looking for a Production Planner to play a vital role in the efficient coordination of manufacturing processes within a leading manufacturer of high-performance components at their site based in Bredbury, Stockport. Operating behind the scenes, you #39;ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of production, from developing optimised manufacturing methods to facilitating the availability of materials and kits for assembly. What rsquo;s on offer? * GBP32,000 - GBP33,000 per year * Monday ndash; Friday 8:00am ndash; 4:30pm (early finish on Fridays) * Attractive pension scheme (7% employer 4 % employee) * Job stability and progression (10+ year multi-million-pound contracts) * Onsite parking and canteen * Unionised workplace * Hands on and supportive management What will you be doing as a Production Planner? * Creating route cards to optimise manufacturing methods, coordinating with the programming department * Issuing documentation to the shop floor promptly via work lists * Collaborating with Stores/Goods Inwards to ensure availability of materials and kits for manufacturing and assembly * Managing rework operations resulting from NCRs, adjusting route sheets as necessary * Participating in Pre-production Meetings to determine optimal manufacturing methods * Assisting the Production Scheduler in effectively loading each work centre * Offering guidance to the Sales Department for accurate cost and lead time quotations What do you need? * Previous experience in a relevant role * Previous experience in scheduling CNC machining operations * Proficiency in IT systems If you #39;re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.
