Motor Claims Team Leader Chelmsford GBP32,000 - GBP38,500 DOE MPJ Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading insurance business based in the Chelmsford area, we are looking for an experienced Motor Claims Team Leader to join the business. Our client offer excellent progression opportunities with plenty of the senior team coming from this level. Overview: To oversee and supervise a team of Claims Professionals. You will have an excellent understanding of the claims process, and act as a referral point for your team, providing support and guidance. As Team Leader, you will be expected to manage daily people management tasks, manage client expectations, ensure the continued development of staff and act as a role model to others. Responsibilities: * Supervision of team members to ensure Service Level Agreements are complied with. * Approve claims settlements within financial authority. * Ensure team has knowledge of Service Instructions and Policy Wordings. * Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met, attending review meetings where appropriate * Provide training and facilitate development of team in accordance with Learning Development Prospectus. * Timely completion of appraisal process. * Respond promptly to complaints. * Ensure diary procedures are followed to maintain accurate reserves and a 1:1 closing ratio. * Manage own solicitors in litigated cases to ensure litigation standards are met. * Assist Branch Manager in general office administration to ensure smooth running of office. * Actively participate in the training programme * Comply with all company and office procedures. * Any other duties as required by the company.
