Children #39;s Residential Support Worker Derbyshire, DE73 GBP23,795 - GBP24,835 Per Annum Plus Sleep In Payments (up to GBP4000 Per Annum) We are currently recruiting for an exceptional provider of care for Children Young People. This is an organisation that offers excellent care and education support to young people with challenging behaviours. We are looking for Support Workers support in the safe running of the home and work with a team to ensure positive outcomes for the young people. The role will involve developing interests and attitudes of the young people and supporting to live independent and healthy lives, while encouraging educational goals. You will support the young people to achieve the best outcomes We are looking for individuals with experience of working with challenging behaviour within a residential setting and an understanding of safeguarding and promotion of welfare of young people. You will be working a one on two off shift pattern: WEEK 1 08:00am ndash; 22:00pm Monday, Thursday Sunday WEEK 2 08:00am ndash; 22:00pm Wednesday Sunday WEEK 3 08:00am ndash; 22:00pm Tuesday Friday The back to WEEK 1. There will be the requirement to do sleep ins on some of the days and when you do the shift is 08:00am ndash; 23:00pm ndash; sleep in ndash; 07:00am ndash; 08:30am the next day. *Shifts are done on a fair rota system* Duties Responsibilities: Support in the development of new techniques and approaches to childcare within the provision. Encourage development in individual rsquo;s interested and attitudes Establish positive and trusting relationships with the young people Participate in activities and holidays with the young people Assist in preparation of meals in the home Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person Encourage young people to develop educationally Observe and assess behaviours of the young people. Ensure accurate care plans and reports at all times Liaise with outside agencies to ensure the best care. Develop professional relationships with co-workers, young people and families Always ensure best care practices in line with policies and procedures Requirements: Must have experience of working with young people in a residential setting Must hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or equivalent. Experience of work with learning Disabilities or SEBD would be extremely advantageous Range of life skills and experience is essential.
