Health safety advisor

Health Safety Advisor Avolon M E are working with a leading contractor who are looking for a health and safety advisor to join their team working across Central London. The role will be to monitor and improve HSEQ standards, collect data, and advise site management and supervisors in all aspects of health and safety at work. This is a role for someone who is happy to work independently as you will be travelling to sites in London daily. Train travel from home to site is paid for. Salary GBP40-50k depending on experience and qualifications. Duties * Carry out regular, planned Health Safety inspections audits and Environmental audits at all company premises and places of work. * Attend Project safety meetings and committees as agreed with the managing or principal contractor. Liaise with Project staff about project safety requirements * Produce comprehensive audit reports inclusive of recommendations for improvement and verify that corrective and preventive action has been taken * Support external audits (ISO 9001/14001/45001) * Manage out the accident / incident investigation process * Build relationships (internally) with project teams and (externally) with client H S teams Essential Experience * Experience in the construction environment in a H S capacity * NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification to a minimum of Level 3 * Previous experience working within a fast-paced dynamic environment Desirable Experience * Mechanical / Electrical contracting experience * IEMA / NEBOSH environmental qualification * Main (Principal) Contractor experience * Specialist area qualified in Temporary Works, Lifting Operations, * Sustainability Reporting Benefits * Travel paid for * Phone Laptop Provided * Healthcare * Pension * 25 Days annual leave plus bank holiday
