This role is ideal for someone passionate about robotic machinery and looking to make a significant impact within an engineering consultancy setting. Day-to-day of the role: Mechanical Design and develop complex mechanical systems for robotic machinery using SolidWorks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with electronic and control systems. Produce and maintain detailed design documentation, including technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes. Perform simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate and optimise designs. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the manufacturing and commissioning phases. Implement design improvements based on operational feedback and advancements in technology. Required Skills Qualifications: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Demonstrable experience in mechanical design, with a strong portfolio of work involving robotic systems or similar complex machinery. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software. A solid understanding of engineering principles, material selection, and manufacturing techniques. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with stakeholders across various departments.
