Mechanical maintenance engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer East Yorkshire Permanent Shift based GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 Experience of working in a high-speed and high-volume food manufacturing environment? Strong mechanical maintenance experience but with enough electrical know-how to be able to fault find and trouble shoot electrical systems? I rsquo;ve got just the role for you! This opportunity would be ideal for someone who has: * Successfully completed a mechanical apprenticeship * Has at least 3-4 years of site-based experience * Has worked in either the food industry or another regulated sector (such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical device or biotech) * Is now looking to push on with their career within an established team and business. * A true opportunity to continue to develop, learn and grow in a supportive, mature environment. This is a maintenance technician position where you will be able to have autonomy, where suitable, but be working within a wider team, who will support you, just as you will be expected to support them. Daily tasks will include all aspects of typical maintenance engineering that you would expect such as : * Fault finding * Trouble shooting * PPM rsquo;s (planned maintenance) * Installation works * Reactive repairs * Corrective measures You will also be supporting mechanical maintenance requirements in both manufacturing and packaging areas giving you good exposure to a wide variety of machinery and plant equipment including filling and packing machines, labellers, conveyors, HVAC, hydraulic lifting equipment and pneumatics Specific mechanical experience focused around high-speed and high-volume manufacturing, filling and packing lines would be highly beneficial. Due to it being a regulated, food production environment, accurate records must be kept for tracking and audit purposes. If you haven rsquo;t worked in a regulated environment before, it would be beneficial if you can evidence an understanding of the importance of this.
