Psychologist clinical forensic counselling

Psychologist (Clinical/Forensic/Counselling) Our suite of children and young people rsquo;s residential services provides trauma informed care to looked after children with complex trauma presentations, mental health difficulties and/or risk behaviours. As a key part of our team, you will work directly with the children and young people to complete psychological assessments and trauma informed interventions. You will provide support for recovery through the Ashurst Mastery Model which promotes assets, reduces barriers, prevents and mitigates the impact of trauma and prevents harm and/or re-traumatisation. You will also work with the Home staff teams and facilitate psychologically informed consultations, reflective practice sessions and a skills based intensive training programme with ongoing learner guidance. Working predominately within our Nottingham homes, you will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, generally 9am - 5.30pm but with a degree of flexibility to support the needs of the children. You will also join the on-call rota and provide cover for crisis calls. In order to be considered for this position, you must hold: bull; Doctorate or Stage 2 qualification in Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychology; bull; HCPC Registration as a Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychologist; bull; Membership with the BPS; and bull; Post qualification experience in a setting relevant to the post. It would be highly desirable if you have undertaken training in risk psychological/risk assessments and inventories including, amongst others: bull; Becks Youth Inventories BYI-II bull; Structured Assessment of Violent Risk in Youths (SAVRY) bull; Millon personality assessments (M-PACI and MACI) bull; Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children Version 5 bull; Conners ndash; 4 bull; Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule. It would also be desirable if you have undertaken training in modes and models of intervention such as: bull; Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Accredited; bull; Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; bull; Mentalization-Based Treatment; bull; Supervision You must hold a driving license to enable working across our entire geographical areas as we also have residential care homes in Newark, Goole and Selby, where you may also work with the children in those homes.
