Assistant quantity surveyor

The Client: A national contractor based in Bristol, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside colleagues to price a variety of jobs from the existing client base from the initial inquiry through all costing rsquo;s stages to completion. Provide advice and reports on all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts. Responsibilities: bull; You will be responsible for estimating new inquiries. bull; Managing ongoing costs of live projects through to completion. bull; Producing and sending inquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chain. bull; Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes. bull; Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts. bull; Attend and contribute to financial and progress meetings with the client and subcontractors when required. bull; Provide advice and support to site teams and colleagues. The Candidate: bull; Excellent communication skills, both oral written. bull; Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally. bull; Previous experience in the construction industry, ideally refurbishment and extension in the Education sector. bull; Willingness to work on your own initiative and progress your career. bull; HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying. bull; CSCS card Benefits: bull; Competitive Salary depending on experience. bull; 33 Days of holiday including bank holidays. bull; Vehicle allowance plus mileage to site. bull; Company Pension scheme. bull; Support and training. bull; Career progression opportunities
