Primary School Teacher Key Responsibilities: Classroom Leadership: Take on the role of a Year 6 class teacher, providing comprehensive instruction across all subjects and guiding students towards academic excellence. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that align with curriculum objectives and foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Preparation for Transition: Support students in their transition to secondary school, providing guidance, reassurance, and academic preparation to ensure a smooth transition process. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback and support to promote growth and development. Preparation for Assessments: Prepare students for statutory assessments, including SATs, through targeted instruction, revision activities, and confidence-building exercises. Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student learning and well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive school community.Primary School Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS and possess relevant experience teaching in primary schools. Year 6 Experience: Demonstrate experience or a strong interest in teaching Year 6, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities associated with this pivotal year group. Curriculum Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and proficiency in planning and delivering effective lessons across subject areas.
