Finance Accounts Payable Assistant Salary GBP28k Location Tewkesbury ndash; great culture A well-established company located in Tewkesbury is looking for an Accounts Payable to join their Finance team, providing you with opportunities to develop and build your experience and knowledge in Finance. The main responsibilities for this role are processing invoices, and supplier reconciliations, ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function. Job Description Manage purchase orders, commitments, and accruals to ensure that they are being actioned promptly and appropriately To monitor budget allocations, specifically in relation to account payable and receivables that are shown on the finance system. Assisting with the processing of invoices and expense claims Maintaining the purchase order system Carrying out mid and end of month payment runs Reconciling bank and supplier statements Building relationships with suppliers Supporting the Financial Controller and finance team for month end close. The Successful Applicant You will need good knowledge of accounts payable, with previous experience working in a finance team, preferable high volume, in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail is imperative, as well as a can-do attitude and being able to effectively communicate with people of all levels of seniority. Furthermore, you will need to be proficient in Excel (v-Lookups and Pivots). It would be advantageous if you have prior experience using Sage 50 and ERP Systems.
