Mechanical Design Engineer - Halifax - Permanent - GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 I Need Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Within the Machine Tool Industry To be considered for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer, the successful candidate must have the following experience or skill set: middot; Experience using Inventor 3D software to draw component details, assemblies and machine parts for manufacturing. middot; Must be able to read and understand 2D drawings middot; Knowledge of machinery design would be ideal middot; Experience of managing projects from initial concept to completion middot; Shopfloor knowledge Manufacturing processes would be beneficial middot; Ability to liaise with the Shopfloor Fitting Staff middot; Ability to work under pressure to prioritize own work load middot; Strong minded, Self-motivated Attention to Detail middot; Highly motivated with the drive to take on new challenges middot; Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or time served Apprenticeship middot; Hydraulics, Pneumatics and any Electrical knowledge would be advantageous Responsibilities: middot; As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be creating a wide variety of designs for Machine Tools middot; Create final assembly, machining drawings and modifying improving existing designs using Inventor Software middot; Ensuring designs are safe to build as well as cost effective middot; Provide technical support to the shopfloor and site installation teams as and when required. . Run your own project with minimum supervision. middot; Follow all set drawing office procedure middot; Generate part list/BOM rsquo;s middot; Ensure all designs part lists are released in timely manner to an agreed timescale middot; Liase with customers, suppliers internal departments to ensure the information is free and flowing.
