Project engineer aluminium castings

We are recruiting for a Project Engineer(Aluminium Castings) to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Coventry area. The Project Engineer will work as part of a team in an industry leading business where you will contribute to the success of the aluminium casting projects. As the Project Engineer you will be overseeing and managing casting projects from inception to finish, working closely with various teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget. As the Project Engineer you will be required too : * Liaise with the sales and engineering teams reviewing project requirements, specifications and customer expectations * Develop project plans, schedules and budgets * Liaise with the technical team on any issues related to the aluminium casting projects * Liaising with suppliers and vendors regarding materials, tools and equipment required for aluminium casting production * Managing the project timelines and identifying any potential risks ndash; putting in place strategies to minimise any possible delays to projects * Carrying out regular project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders reviewing project progress and any relevant issues * Monitoring of project expenses and budgets to ensure cost effectiveness and profitability * Coordinate with the Quality Team to establish/implement quality control procedures * Prepare project documentation (Project reports, technical specifications ) Requirements: * A degree in Engineering, mechanical engineering or related field * Previous experience in project management (Ideally within the manufacturing industry) with a focus on aluminium casting projects * A good knowledge of aluminium casting processes, materials and manufacturing techniques * Familiar with project management tools and software (Microsoft Project or similar applications) * Able to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks in order to meet objectives and deadlines * Knowledge of quality management systems and standards-IATF-TS16949 is desired but not essential * Able to travel on occasion for project meetings, client visits etc Join our team as a Project Engineer and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
