Transport planner

Transport Planner Canterbury 30k - 35k DOE Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm My client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team! If you have previous experience as a Transport Planner or a similar role, and are looking to join a reputable company, then LOOK NO FURTHER! You will be responsible for the day to day planning of articulated vehicles, along with various other transport related duties, as listed below. Roles and Responsibilities: Working closely with Operations Manager looking after 100+ customers rsquo; accounts Arrange and overlook multiple shipments on daily basis Assist with various operational queries and tasks as required General office duties such as answering phone calls and emails Dealing with Customers, Subcontractors and Agents queries Processing customer orders, inputting data into planning systems and issuing jobs to drivers and/or subcontractors Updating Customers with job status and progress Managing and updating various third-party systems and portals, arranging collections, deliveries, ferry crossings, tolls, customs clearance, various permits and licences Managing various documents and paperwork ensuring it meets company rsquo;s compliance criteria Skills Required: Experience in UK/EU Road Haulage and/or Freight Forwarding Working knowledge on current UK/EU Customs Clearance requirements Excellent communicator both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail Great people skills, lsquo;can do rsquo; attitude and a hands-on approach Highly motivated and committed to provide great service every day Responsible, reliable, hardworking and good under pressure Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills with strong ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation.
