Junior safety officer

CapEx Recruitment have been retained by a respected name in the construction industry, who are a leading manufacturer / supplier of products to the Building and Civil Engineering sector who is growing their team based on recent expansion and recruiting a Junior Safety Officer. The company is looking for a Trainee or Junior Safety Officer to work on their Road Surfacing Division. With operational bases in Kildare, Meath, Offaly, and Louth, there is flexibility to choose where you can be based out of. This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Safety Officer, or for an individual with an interest in breaking into the Health Safety sector, with training and professional development available to pursue a qualification. The Role: * Keep updated with current policies and procedures. * Communicate with Senior Management and Site teams on Health and Safety requirements for sites covered. * Maintain the promotion of Health and Safety on sites covered. * Implement Method Statements and risk assessments. * Plan and Coordinate training and maintain records. * Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients. * Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work. The Person: * Health Safety background (ideally in the Construction or Waste Management). * 1+ years experience in a Health Safety related position * Excellent organisation and communication skills. * Confident in the use of Microsoft Office / Good presentation skills. * Full Driving License. This role does not require travel into Dublin and therefore anybody looking to minimise their commute / avoid covering a large geographical area visiting sites may find this appealing.
