Quantity surveyor

Route One Infrastructure is a leading bridge and structures maintenance contractor operating on a National level. We are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Featherstone, Wakefield. The successful candidate will support the development and growth of the business supporting the Commercial, Operations team and Directors Overall Purpose of Job The role is predominantly to manage the Commercial function of secured NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts, Options A-C from award to Completion and Final Account agreement, ensuring compliance with Route One Infrastructure policies and procedures. Skills Experience Required * An excellent understanding of the NEC forms of contract is essential. * Substantial experience of Option C target costing ideally on National Highways frameworks. * Considerable experience of working in a Quantity Surveying role with a civil engineering or specialist highways background (Civils, Surfacing, Concrete Repair or other similar specialist) * Existing relationships with other commercial and operations teams in other businesses with the sector. * Have experience of working with National Highways and Tier 1 contractors * Ability to negotiate with customers, sub-contractors and suppliers to create better opportunities to win work * Be highly motivated, persistent and have a keen business initiative * Strong IT skills and experience of using CRM systems for developing and maintaining customer relationships * Have a knowledge and understanding of the company rsquo;s products, services and markets * Have excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills * A bachelor rsquo;s degree is desirable but not essential.
