Job Title: 1:1 Educational Support Assistant Location: Normanton Type: Full-Time Duration: Longer Term Salary: GBP425 - GBP500 per week Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Educational Support Assistant with a focus on Autism to join one of our primary schools ASAP or from September. This is a full-time position with the potential for a longer-term/permanent commitment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism and have experience or a strong interest in special education, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support and assistance to a student with Autism, helping them engage with their learning activities. Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored strategies to support the student #39;s educational and behavioural needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment to encourage the student #39;s development. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt curriculum materials and ensure the student #39;s academic progress. Offer emotional and social support to help the student build self-confidence and interpersonal skills. Document and communicate the student #39;s progress and challenges to the educational team and parents/guardians. Assist in managing any behavioural or sensory challenges effectively and safely.Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience working with children or individuals with Autism is preferred, but not essential. A passion for working in the field of special education and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of children. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. The ability to adapt and think creatively to support the individual needs of the student. A proactive, positive, and collaborative attitude.
