Sustainability consultant building services

Role: Sustainability Consultant (Building Services) Location: Birmingham City Centre Salary: Up to GBP50k (Dependent on Experience) Overview This role is within the new Birmingham office of an already established Building Services and Sustainability consultancy founded over 50 years ago and currently employing nearly 60 engineers across their Southern Hub and now Birmingham office. As a business, they have curated a consistent and strong client basis completing projects within the Residential, Commercial, Data Centre, Education and Healthcare sectors to a detailed design level. Due to a strong pipeline in work, they have extended their UK presence with a newly formed Birmingham Office already boasting 5/6 staff. They are now seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join the business. Although you will be the office sustainability lead, you will be working closely with the London-based Sustainability team and delivering their projects to begin which mostly consist of large Residential Decarbonisation schemes. Requirements Experience working as a Sustainability/Building Physics engineer within a Building Services Consultancy. Non-domestic energy assessor qualification. A sustainability degree or equivalent. Experience using IES (Part L energy modelling EPCs). Generating Energy Calcs to support Planning and BREEAM requirements. Knowledge and experience of dynamic simulations against TM59 and Part O for overheating assessments and producing reports. Experience with Energy audits of existing buildings (EPCs). Leading and contributing to Sustainability focused client meetings.
