QA Manager Monday ndash; Friday 8.30am ndash; 5pm GBP36,400 Coventry The Role: To ensure that the Company complies with the Quality Assurance requirements of the customer and relevant third-party agencies and meets its legal obligation in terms of current and impending food legislation and food safety. To ensure that the specific quality and safety attributes of the Company and the customer are met at all times and any actions implemented to maintain this position What will you be doing? * Manage the day-to-day activities of the site QA function including laboratory, coach and mentor the QA team and operatives to ensure fulfilment of the requirements of the Food Safety and Quality Plans, ensuring Quality and Food Safety is achieved at all times. Verify and manage attendance of the QA Technicians including Time keeping, holiday sickness cover, ensuring relevant communication with HR. * Co-ordinate and investigate customer complaints, identifying causes and ensuring that appropriate timely corrective and preventative actions are implemented. Issues complaints investigation forms to relevant departments and collects responses via the morning meeting. Supports in the investigation of customer complaints. Formulates the initial customer response based on the investigation findings and escalates should support be needed * Investigation of food safety and quality incidents, effectively liaising with Operations and Engineering departments to identify causes and corrective/ preventative action to be implemented * Participate in customer/third party audits and visits demonstrating knowledge and giving support to colleagues. What will you bring to the party? * Level 3 Food Hygiene minimum * Basic Health and Safety * HACCP level 3 * Diploma or higher qualification in a Food related discipline would be an added advantage. * Audit qualification * Micro experience is essential * QA or relevant food industry experience What Happens Next?
