Senior office administrator

Our client is a small, family run engineering company based in the Sale area of Greater Manchester that has a successful trading history of over 30 years. An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Administrator to join the team, based in their office which is well situated near to Sale town centre, with free parking and easy access to the Metro. While you will be working as part of a small, friendly team, you must be a quick learner and confident working on your own initiative. There is a real opportunity to make the role your own, putting in your own ideas, systems and procedures, and progress within the company. This is a full-time opportunity and the company is happy to discuss options including working flexibly and possibly also around school hours. Main duties include: * Producing customer statements and ensuring timely payments * Entering basic financial data into accounts system * Processing purchase orders and invoicing * Ensuring excellent customer service to phone enquiries * Managing correspondence by answering emails and sorting mail * Draft, format and file relevant documents * Maintain stock lists and order office supplies as needed * Opportunity to further train / attend workshops and conferences * Opportunity to get involved in website and social media promotion The main skills and experience required for the role are: * Demonstrable experience in an office mgt/administration role / NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration * Computer literate and proficient in MS Office software - Outlook, Word, Excel * Experience of accounting software such as Xero or similar * Excellent telephone skills ndash; able to build relationships with customers as well as engineers and suppliers * Exceptional organisation, communication and customer service skills Benefits: * Excellent package including salary GBP23K-GBP26K depending on experience and skills * Annual company performance bonus * Flexible working options * Small friendly office in Sale, 5min walk to Sale town centre * Any relevant training and development provided and fully funded * Scope to grow the role and progress as the business grows * Dedicated parking space / 5min walk to Metro (Dane Road or Sale stops)
