Parts technician

Red Sky have an excellent opportunity for someone with experience gained in a busy parts department, looking to join a well-established and rapidly expanding company with exciting progression opportunities. Our client are market leaders within the field of Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance. This role covers the stores environment, to receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all materials, fluid, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site. The Role: Materials Issue * To identify and understand technician requirements. * Always provide prompt and courteous over the counter service. * Respond to telephone calls. * Pick and pack stock orders. * Generate daily reports. Goods Inward * To check and receive deliveries, log items to the IT system, organisation and maintenance of goods received quarantine area. * Unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner * Drive company forklift truck * Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments. Skills and Experience: * Customer and service delivery focused. * An understanding of stores procedures and systems, with experience gained in a vehicle, plant or machinery parts/stores environment. * Good level of literacy and numeracy, with developed IT skills * Team orientated. You will need to: * Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5-year history verification. * Hold a valid UK driving licence. * Have experience in a commercial, GSE or plant machinery parts/ stores environment. * Experience in the vehicle maintenance sector * Experience in a busy parts department Whats on offer? * Starting rate: GBP28k ndash; progressing to GBP30,352 after successful completion of probation * Shift pattern is Mon to Fri ndash; 0730 to 1530 or 0800h to 1600 or 0900 to 1700 Red Sky are acting as a recruitment business in relation to the role
