Day Mechanical Fitter The Staffing Experts are currently seeking candidates for an exciting opportunity with an established manufacturer located near Disley. We are recruiting for the position of Day Mechanical Fitter, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing equipment. Role Overview: As a Mechanical Fitter, you #39;ll provide technical support to ensure equipment reliability, product consistency, and maximise mill asset capability. You #39;ll execute mechanical engineering tasks, including troubleshooting, and repairs, adhering to safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality objectives. Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on machinery. Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities efficiently. Coordinate with spare parts department and external providers. Research innovative solutions for equipment optimisation. Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks. Execute building and facility maintenance tasks. Collaborate with operating teams to achieve production KPIs. PTW and LOTO systems followed with care and attention Requirements: Problem-solving skills. Competency in laser alignment. Knowledge of centrifugal/mono/multistage pump troubleshooting. Understanding of safety and environmental protocols. Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent. HNC or NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 years #39; experience in automated manufacturing equipment maintenance. Hours 39 hrs per week This position has been advertised with the permission of the client.
