Hotel general manager

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to oversee all aspects of our client #39;s boutique hotel. As General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will have the opportunity to lead a passionate team, drive business growth, and create memorable experiences for our guests in the heart of Edinburgh. Responsibilities: * Lead and inspire a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. * Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. * Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. * Manage revenue generation and cost control initiatives to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability. * Develop and implement strategies to drive occupancy, room revenue, and food and beverage sales. * Foster positive relationships with guests, stakeholders, and local community partners to enhance the hotel #39;s reputation and visibility. * Implement and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with regulations and industry best practices. * Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. * Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team. Requirements: * Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique hotel setting. * Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. * Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. * Sound financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, and drive revenue growth. * Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to excellence in hospitality. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Knowledge of relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices. * Bachelor #39;s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
