Job Title: Centre-Based Outreach Online Tutor Location: Blackburn, Blackpool, Morecambe Salary: Up to GBP30,000 per year (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Permanent Role Overview: Our client is seeking several experienced Outreach Tutors to support learners working towards their qualifications. The role involves a combination of centre-based and community-based teaching, with occasional online delivery. They are looking for individuals in several areas across Lancashire. The successful candidates will support learners in achieving qualifications within set timeframes and to high standards, providing guidance, instruction, and maintaining accurate documentation of learner progress. Key Responsibilities: Promote learning opportunities and recruit learners to suitable provision. Identify learners #39; training and support needs and adapt delivery accordingly. Instruct learners in relevant topics according to their abilities and qualification standards. Assess learners #39; proficiency through interviews, observations, and portfolio assessments. Liaise with training staff to obtain suitable project work for learners. Conduct regular reviews of learner progress and maintain accurate records. Develop and manage partnerships with local partners. Ensure compliance with equal opportunities policies and safeguarding regulations. Essential/Desirable Criteria: Effective communication skills. Building effective relationships. Experience supporting the delivery and testing of vocational qualifications. Assessor Qualification or willingness to work towards it. Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths/English/ICT. Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS or equivalent). GCSE English Language or equivalent (Grade A*-C). Competency in Health Social Care, Team Leading Management, Warehousing, or hospitality desirable. IQA qualification desirable. Additional Information: This role may require working from other training centres across Lancashire. Enhanced DBS clearance required. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.
