Survey technician

TEXO Recruitment are looking for an experienced Survey Technician to join one of our external clients on a permanent basis, working within their Technical Operations division to support the Regional Technical Operations Manager in achieving the overall team rsquo;s day to day objectives, based in Aberdeen. Duties: bull; Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire. bull; Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity. bull; Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists. bull; Checking, inspecting, and documenting equipment returned from hire. bull; Visual inspection, function testing and writing technical reports. bull; Identification of in-house or external repair tasks. bull; Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice. bull; General warehouse and delivery duties. bull; Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation. bull; Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation. bull; Troubleshoot to successful conclusion. bull; Assist offshore survey team as required. bull; Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base. bull; Attend Offshore training and undergo an Offshore medical. Skills: bull; Excellent attention to detail. bull; Ability to work as a team taking directions but also encouraging others to develop. bull; Ability to work independently and confidently when representing the company at client premises. bull; Ability to follow procedures and processes correctly. bull; Have a flexible and proactive approach to working and learning. bull; Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. bull; Ability to work remotely with relevant IT access. bull; Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and to deadline. bull; Committed to hard work. bull; Passionate to develop and progress in an industry recognised technology company. Requirements: bull; Qualified to degree level in relevant Engineering or have 3-5 years equivalent experience. bull; Working knowledge of electronic engineering principles, techniques, and practices. bull; Experience in working with survey equipment. bull; Experience of asset tracking databases. bull; Knowledge of interfacing survey sensors with acquisition software. bull; Ability to work unsupervised on basic offshore projects. bull; Ability to operate survey equipment as part of an offshore survey team. bull; The successful candidate must hold a Full UK Driving licence
