Currently, our client is on the lookout for a talented M E Buyer to join their esteemed team. About the Role Due to successful tender and a healthy forward order book, Our Client is looking to expand their procurement team and is looking for an experienced M E buyer to join their team based in Central London. They will consider candidates from a Mechanical and Electrical sub-contractor but must have proven construction experience with established supply chain connections. procure mechanical and electrical materials, equipment, and services by project requirements and budgetary constraints. * Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements. * Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards. * Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project specifications and requirements. * Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. * Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. * Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information using procurement software and systems. * Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to M E procurement. Requirements Proven experience as an M E Buyer or working within a rival contractor with experience working on projects up to GBP15. In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Solid understanding of procurement processes, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in the Microsoft office and coins software Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
