SEND Teaching Assistant Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: GBP420 - GBP480 Per week Benefits: Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Payment as You Earn (PAYE) - No Umbrella Job Description: Job Duties: Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a classroom setting Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with SEND Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment Support students with personal care and mobility needs, if required Monitor and record student progress and behaviour Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to work towards one Education: Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting Experience: Experience working with children or young adults with SEND Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEND Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach Preferred Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent First Aid certification Working Conditions: Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday Work within a school environment, assisting students with SEND May involve physical tasks such as assisting with personal care or mobility All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
