Mechanical maintenance engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer GBP45000 - GBP50000 We are seeking an experienced, mechanical biased Maintenance Engineer to perform pro-active and reactive maintenance activities across our clients rsquo; manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Head of Machining, The work will cover a range of machinery (from manual machines through to 5 axis machining centres) along with fabrication equipment and general facilities maintenance. Principal Duties Responsibilities Safe Working Environment bull; Ensure that all work is undertaken safely. Ensure that general housekeeping is maintained in line with the established standards. bull; Ensure that all standard work procedures are followed as required including any work permits or similar. Maintenance bull; Install new equipment on site to the required standards and specifications. bull; Diagnose faults on plant and equipment as required and establish methods for rectification bull; Ensure any relevant start up procedures are performed following the repair of any plant or equipment. bull; Ensure any mechanical or electrical work is carried out within the level of competence. Control of Suppliers and Contractors. bull; Ensure effective procurement of any spare part requirements, including communication with suppliers and the raising of purchase orders. bull; Ensure any contractors working on site are under suitable supervision and have completed the required contractor induction process. Qualifications / Experience Required; bull; NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline bull; Experience of maintenance on CNC Machine Tools, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical devices bull; Ability to read drawings and diagrams bull; Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and with minimal supervision Working Monday to Friday 08:00 ndash; 16:30, company pension, onsite parking, sick pay schedule, day shift, overtime paid at 1.5x with weekend availability
