Supplier quality engineer

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER Location; Coventry Position; Permanent Salary; GBP42-46k per annum About the role EMBS Engineering are supporting a high-profile, well-established, precision engineering company in Coventry who are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their company on a permanent basis. Our client is a globally recognised market leader in the manufacture of complex, intricate components for various industries, but predominantly the aerospace market. Role Overview As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you #39;ll be responsible for ensuring exceptional support within supply chain quality. Your role will involve leading initiatives focused on improving performance across the board. You will implment a Zero Defect program to minimize PPM rates, alongside developing a detailed supplier audit plan that aligns with the working assessment of supplier performance. You #39;ll be tasked with maintaining vigilance, overseeing the implementation of containment measures for any emerging issues, and leading comprehensive root cause analysis and corrective actions through methodologies like 8Ds and 5Ys. Furthermore, you #39;ll have a critical responsibility in adhering to tight schedules by conducting thorough audits to uphold quality standards across the organisation. Responsibilities * Working to AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards * Review FAIR reports * Update QMS systems * Monitor and improve supplier performance * Carry out regular account reviews * Follow up and carry out corrective actions for non conforming products Experience required * Strong Quality Engineering background - previously held a Quality Engineering position * Involved in precision engineering / advanced manufacturing businesses that produce small to medium-sized or sub-assembly components into high-profile sectors, ideally Aerospace, Automotive or Defence * Demonstrated experience of auditing, monitoring and improving supplier performance * Experience of working to ISO 9001 / AS 9100 standards * Detailed Quality toolkit i.e. - PPAP, FMEA, APQP, RCA, MSA, SPC, Capability Studies, Control Plans * Good understanding of problem-solving tools i.e. - 8D, 5Y, Fishbone, Ishikawa etc * Knowledge of Lean/CI techniques * Ability to communicate with people at all levels What is in it for you? * Stability / Longevity - Permanent position * Competitive salary - GBP42,000 - GBP46,000 p.a * Days: 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, early finish on Fridays * Additional benefits include: * Career development and opportunities to progress * Pension Scheme up to 10% company contribution * Income Protection * Share Buying scheme * Free on-site car parking * An on-site restaurant * 25 days annual leave * Employee Assistance Program for Health Wellbeing * Employee Perks * Annual volunteering day off * On-site changing rooms, showers and lockers About us EMBS Engineering is a dedicated talent specialist that partners with some of the UK #39;s most prestigious, advanced, precision engineering companies within the Aerospace, Automotive / Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil Gas, Green, Environmental and FMCG industries.
