Hardware Test Engineer Up to GBP25/hr PAYE dependent on experience The Role middot;Design connectors, housings, rigs, racks, and enclosures for test equipment. middot;Build / assemble connectors, housings, rigs, racks, and enclosures for test equipment. middot;Produce documentation (primarily drawings and wiring lists) for connectors, housings, rigs, racks, and enclosures for test equipment. middot;Liaise with external equipment suppliers. Resposibilities middot;Review of customer and internal requirements. middot;Select and design hardware to meet test specifications. middot;Hardware build and commissioning. middot;Sourcing of appropriate equipment and parts. middot;Liaising and engaging with other departments, customers, and external test facilities when required. The Person Required: middot;Minimum 3 years relevant experience (5+ years highly desirable). middot;Knowledge of electrical standards. middot;Knowledge of electrical safety and power distribution. middot;Experience of UK test facilities and laboratories. middot;Interpreting test standards, customer requirements and internal requirements. middot;Proof of Concept / prototype build planning and execution. middot;Problem solving, troubleshooting and attention to detail. Additional Advantageous Skills: middot;Knowledge of CAD software especially SolidWorks middot;Experience of simple CNC machining of faceplates. middot;Any experience of 3D printing
