Job Role: SEMH Tutor Location: Doncaster Start Date: ASAP Salary: GBP25 ndash; GBP40 per hour Contract Type: Full-Time Are you looking for a career where you can work with students who have significant learning difficulties? If so, GSL Education can help. GSL Education is actively recruiting a SEMH Tutor to work at a client school located in Doncaster starting immediately. SEMH Tutor Responsibilities: The ability to identify students going into crisis mode and follow/be familiar with the Positive Behaviour Support System (PBS). Provide 1:1 support for a young student and also be able to support small groups if necessary with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Be able to deliver in-class activities, promote independent learning where possible, and encourage appropriate social skills. Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met. Previous involvement in a Wellbeing and Mind Team (WIMT) as an added advantage. Previous working experience with Educational Psychology services, Paediatricians, CAMHS or Therapist. Must have a UK QTS; ECTs and NQTs are also welcome to apply. An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education. SEMH Tutor Responsibilities: Support on a one to one and small group basis. Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met. Assist in engaging lessons including outdoor education and creative learning. Support young people social interaction. Be able to work collaboratively with staff members and outside agencies, such as counsellors and mental health professionals Develop self-esteem, confidence, and emotional wellbeing resilience in students to ensure regular attendance in school and active participation in learning and social opportunities.
