Health safety advisor

Highly regarded main-contractor are seeking an experienced Health Safety Advisor to join their well-established team in Newcastle. They have a healthy pipeline of work across the North East Yorkshire, focusing on commercial new build, fitout and residential. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction/civil sector. Responsibilities: * Liaising with site staff and implementing health safety strategies * Reviewing and maintaining systems for the company and recommending improvements * Working alongside a close-knit team but also in a very autonomous role * Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager * Assist with auditing and reviewing policies and procedures * Monthly reporting Requirements: * Minimum of 2 years experience in a Health Safety role * Experience / understanding of standards such as: ISO14001/ ISO9001/ ISO45001 would be desirable. * Previous experience of working in the construction and/or civil sector is essential * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Full UK drivers license This is a Permanent position and Coleman James Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency
