What you would be doing as a Mechanical Fitter: middot; Monitor and advise management of progress and highlight areas outside of scope of delivery. middot; Test mechanical systems, equipment, apparatus using testing devices such as vibration sensors and infra-red cameras, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems. middot; Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair. middot; Complete works as directed by site supervisors and project managers. middot; Assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools, test equipment and power tools. middot; Be able to conduct mechanical tasks such as pump replacement, screens and pipework installation, alignments, valve problem solving, installation, fault finding, and read drawings. middot; Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pumping systems equipment. middot; Ensure contractual response times are adhered to and site team is updated. middot; Reacting to emergency and shutdown works middot; Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments middot; Ensure clear understanding of Risk Assessment Method Statement. middot; Prepare and submit generic work and progress reports when required. middot; Read, understand, and interpret mechanical drawings, station drawings and schematics.
