Benefits: Enhanced holidays Bonus scheme Flexible working Your New Role As Cost Accountant (12 month fixed term contract) : As Cost Accountant you shall work within the costing team, working closely with others in the department, and also with the SSC. As a partner to stakeholders across the manufacturing site, this is a varied and interesting role within a talented finance department. Role Responsibilities: bull; Costing new products and authorising through the system workflow procedure. bull; Preparing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including GRNI, Stock in transit and inventory accounts. bull; Identification, analysis and reporting of monthly manufacturing cost variances, PPV freight, working to identify and fix any cost related issues. bull; Working closely with the production teams to assist with new product development and customer tenders. bull; Production of monthly financials, analysing actual performance versus forecasts and identifying areas of focus for management whilst also assisting with preparation of statutory financial statements. bull; Financial reporting to analyse key movements in inventory balances. bull; Completing the quarterly standard cost update ensuring all new costs are accurate and communicated to the senior management team of the business. bull; Assisting in the annual budgeting process including calculating revised overhead absorption rates. bull; Providing responses to external audit requests during the annual audit. bull; Other ad-hoc reporting/queries. Experience Qualifications Required to Apply: To be considered for this role you shall have a proven track record of adding value in a cost accounting role. With significant experience of Cost Accounting, you shall have acquired business partnering skills, and the capacity to develop and maintain working relationships. Able to provide detailed analysis, you shall be either QBE, or Part/fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA). Initially be able to commit to a 12 month contract, there may also be the potential for this role to become permanent.
