Role Overview: As a Mechanical Estimator at ROCMEP, you #39;ll play a crucial role in shaping our project bids and ensuring accuracy in tender submissions. Based at our London Bridge office, you #39;ll work closely with our pre-construction team, contributing your expertise to secure and deliver successful projects. Duties and Responsibilities: * Ensure a thorough understanding of our scope to deliver a comprehensive tender. * Highlight project-winning aspects for the Bid Manager to bolster ROC #39;s bid success. * Maintain regular communication with subcontractors throughout the quotation process. * Verify subcontractor quotes against specifications and drawings. * Provide relevant qualifications for tender submissions. * Identify necessary plant supply and specialist subcontract trades for inclusion in the quotation. * Communicate project specifics to suppliers and subcontractors, including phasing and tender summary requirements. * Evaluate tender analysis data, considering project implications. * Review the tender with the Bid Manager. * Attend pre- and mid-tender interviews as needed. * Foster relationships with clients and subcontractors to facilitate transparent communication. * Utilise the company tender return document to summarise our bid and highlight total cost, qualifications, omissions, potential VE Options, and provisional subs. * Complete the customer rsquo;s contract sum analysis document to the best of our ability. * Attend post-tender interviews ndash; Show a good understanding of the projects. * Prepare files for handing over to the delivery team. * Attend and present at handover meetings. * Assist the financial team with QSOR or any other items needed to secure the order. About You: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual, ideally with a proven track record in mechanical estimating. While prior experience as an Estimator is desirable, we welcome applications from candidates with a strong aptitude for numbers and a keen interest in construction estimating.
