Healthcare assistant

Worldwide Education and Care are looking for Healthcare Assistants, Care Assistants and Health Care Support Workers to work within a number of Care Homes and Nursing Homes in and around Buckinghamshire. THE ROLE Healthcare Assistants play a vital role in supporting their teams and patients by delivering high levels of care and attention to individual needs. Healthcare Assistants are often tasked with the observing, monitoring and recording of patients #39; medical statuses and health conditions under the supervision of Senior Nursing colleagues or Doctors. Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with patients, relatives and carers and other members of the medical team assisting with clinical duties. Healthcare Assistants are responsible for maintaining cross infection control standards and may also be involved in the preparation of food and assisting at mealtimes, supporting patients with their personal hygiene regimes and ensuring that their patients receive overall reassurance, comfort and safe care as well as; Promoting positive mental/physical nutritional health with patients. Checking and ordering supplies. Maintaining patient confidentiality. Treating patients with respect and dignity at all times. REQUIREMENTS NVQ Qualification in Health and Social Care - (desirable but not compulsory) Supporting CPD Certificates - (We provide free training for this) First Aid, Moving and handling certificate. Medical clearance and clear DBS check. Previous experience in a caring role preferred. The desire to work with diverse team members and patients. Good communication and listening skills. Physically able to meet the demands of the role. A tactful, understanding and approachable personality. Worldwide Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people.
