We are working with a local SEN school looking to recruit a Learning Mentor so support a class of 10 students on a long-term basis,with the views to lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate. This position will commence immediately, or from September 2024. Responsibilities: middot; Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies. middot; Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development. middot; Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. middot; Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN. Requirements: middot; While prior experience in a similar role is preferred, we also welcome applications from individuals new to this sector that have transferable skills from roles such as Youth Work, Family Support Worker and Children rsquo;s Residential Support Worker. middot; Strong communication and interpersonal skills. middot; Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of all ages. middot; Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and learning needs. middot; A DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)
