ROLE: AREA SALES MANAGER LOCATION: North East SALARY: GBP45k + DOE BENEFITS: bonus package, company car, share save scheme (optional) private healthcare and contributory pension scheme Our client are looking for an experienced sales professional to join their team as an Area Sales Manager, covering the North East region. ABOUT YOU: The role sits within THE Northern Sales Team and specifically covers the NE, DL, DH, TS TD Postcodes. You will inherit a significant customer base of Independent Retailers and Contractors with a great potential for further growth. Whilst the company have a strong and enviable brand, they want to keep evolving to remain leaders in their field. Your role will be to identify new and existing customers rsquo; potential and leveraging opportunities to grow sales with existing products. You will launch new ranges to your customers, utilising sales samples and the product literature provided. As you rsquo;ll be working across a large geographical area ndash; it rsquo;s essential that you are organised, structured and conscientious in how you approach your territory and journey planning, reporting and follow-up activity. Being out on the road means you rsquo;ll need to be self-reliant and self-motivated, but you should also be a great team player! There is a strong team ethos and all colleagues are encouraged to work together to provide the best experience for the customers. As the Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for: * Building relationships with new and existing customers; advising and influencing them to grow sales for the business * Managing your area to deliver sales revenue targets * Placing and presenting sampling and displays to introduce customers to new products and ranges and drive incremental sales. * Managing customer pricing quotations and terms to reflect the complexity of products, price points, volumes and credit terms. KEY REQUIREMENTS: * Sales success ndash; in a retail, wholesale or other customer-facing role. * An impressive track record of driving sales via a consultative-selling approach. * Ideally you should have some experience in a floor coverings, soft furnishings, DIY or home-related sector ndash; or this is an interest you rsquo;d like to develop. * A strong work ethic and a passion for exploring new opportunities to build business with your customers. * Strong organisation skills and experience of working with CRM or similar systems. * A full, clean Driving Licence
