Production operative

Morson are currently looking for a Production Operative to join on of our top clients, based in Portsmouth. Rate: GBP12.21 per hour Overtime can be worked after 12 weeks: Standard Hours: 07.30 to 16.15 Other working hours information: 37 Hours per week split over 9 Days ndash; 5 Days one week 4 Days the next week rotating weekly and referred to as Free Friday Shift Pattern: Day Shift Key Responsibilities: To undertake activities in order to manufacture and assemble products using standard working process, while working to the required specifications. To conduct all duties with due care and attention to Health and Safety. Principal Accountabilities for one or more of the below: bull; To interpret drawings and then cut and mark out material accurately in accordance with the drawing specifications bull; To bond a variety of rubber materials using adhesives bull; To laminate fabrics using adhesives bull; To operate welding machine accurately bull; To operate sewing machines bull; To sign off own work at appropriate work stages with production stamp bull; To conduct other manufacturing/assembly duties within their general capabilities bull; To make them self available when required to undertake the appropriate Health Safety, legislative or relevant skills training in connection with their role. bull; To participate in and make recommendations to continuous improvements through Lean Manufacturing tha
