Junior it assistant

Our client is in search of a dynamic and proactive Junior IT Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and thrive in engaging with colleagues across all levels of the organization. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to further develop their IT expertise, with comprehensive training provided. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to the business via calls, emails, video chats etc. Undertake system rebuilds and installations, ensuring seamless transitions to Windows 10 and 11 with all necessary applications and user data intact. Assist users in resolving general IT issues, optimising their daily workflow with expertise in printing, office applications, and email management. Efficiently manage external support cases to ensure optimal service delivery to our internal users. Take charge of user management tasks in Active Directory, ensuring smooth onboarding, management, and removal processes. Deploy and maintain antivirus solutions across our network, safeguarding our systems against potential threats. Oversee daily backups and disaster recovery processes, ensuring the integrity and security of our data. Contribute to the enhancement of our company intranet, providing valuable insights and support in its maintenance and upgrades. Occasionally assist in network infrastructure tasks such as cable installation, faceplate replacement, and comms rack patching. Provide support for our phone systems, including SIP, ISDN, and VOIP technologies. Grow your expertise over time with exposure to various technologies. Experience and Skills Requirements: A-level or Degree educated, with a keen interest in IT. Prior experience in an IT role is advantageous. Strong understanding of PC components and their functions. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Basic knowledge of fault severity assessment, prioritization, and information logging. Familiarity with Exchange server configuration, patching, and maintenance. Proficiency in providing 1st and 2nd line IT support. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident individual with excellent communication skills. Possession of a full driving license.
